Avitech awarded with the Cyber Essentials Certifications

As an international developer of IT systems for the aviation industry, Avitech has underlined its commitment to security and data protection by achieving independent certification under the UK government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme. Cyber security has always been one of our top priorities and we continually strive to offer reliable high security products and services to our customers.

The Cyber Essentials scheme is a cybersecurity standard that identifies the security controls that an organization must have in place within their IT systems, demonstrating that they are addressing cybersecurity effectively and mitigating the risks of internet-based threats. It is important that, as a supplier of innovative IT technology, Avitech customers are reassured they are working with a company that takes cybersecurity seriously.

The Cyber Essentials Certification ensures the following:

·         Secured Internet connections

·         Secured devices and software

·         Controlled access to data and services

·         Protection from viruses and malware

·         Devices and software kept up to date

The Cyber Essentials scheme was launched on 5 June 2014 and it has been required for suppliers to central UK government who handle certain kinds of sensitive, personal or classified information.
